On 8/17/09 Joe Schreibvogel apparently sent 6 bears to Animal Source Texas who immediately passed them on to the Herne Breeding Center in Belgium.  Herne Breeding Center is a broker for rare animals.

The attached articles imply there is a connection between ANIMAL SOURCE TEXAS, INC.  and  U.S. GLOBAL EXOTICS, INC.  (and thus to Joe Schreibvogel)   There seems to be a cozy relationship between many of these players and especially obvious is that between ANIMAL SOURCE TEXAS, INC.  and  U.S. GLOBAL EXOTICS, INC.  It would appear that U.S. GLOBAL EXOTICS, INC.  was set up for the sole purpose of pushing the limits so that if it were caught, ANIMAL SOURCE TEXAS, INC.  could survive.  What is common to almost all of the entities listed here is their failure to document the acquisition and disposition of animals.

Foreign compounds it is reported that Schreibvogel sent cougars:

Two cougars born at Schreibvogel’s were allegedly shipped to the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand.

A female cougar, born at Schreibvogel’s on March 14, 2000, was allegedly shipped to the Seoul Grand Park Zoo in the Republic of Korea.

A cougar, born at Schreibvogel’s, was allegedly shipped to the Sofia Municipal Zoo in Bulgaria.
