WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Three rare tigers are the newest attraction at McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary in West Palm Beach.

Two 14-month-old white tigers and a 2-year-old female liger just moved to the sanctuary from Miami this week, and officials couldn’t be more excited to show these cats off.
“The zoo called us and it was overcrowded so we took them,” said Mark McCarthy, owner of McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary.
A liger is a cross between a male lion and a tigress. They are bred in captivity.  The big cats are now expected to be big attractions.
“It was an early Christmas present and these are very rare,” said McCarthy.
The tigers and liger now join more than 170 exotic animals at the sanctuary, and they’ll have plenty of time to relax and play in their new permanent home.
“It is a 5,000 square foot pen,” said McCarthy.

Does anyone know if these are “doc” Antle’s tigers from Jungle Island in Miami where one of the tigers escaped last year?
