A snow tiger mother recently gave birth to quintuplets at a zoo in Northeast China on Friday, according to Xinhua.
The mother is recuperating after having such a large litter, the typical being 2 to 4cubs. The rare tiger mother gave birth to one male and four female cubs at the Siberian Tiger Park in Harbin, China,
According to ITN News, experts believe that only 30-40 of the rare Bengal tiger living in China. Reports also state that 200-300 white tigers are currently captive in China.
The cubs weighed in at 3.6 to just over 3 pounds and appear to be in good health.
The 10-year-old mother is tired but resting quite well and doing a good job of taking care of her large litter of newborn cubs.
